The Burn Barrel
- has been busy...
For a few years now, I've often thought about cleaning out all old things - 'betes related. Twenty year old lab reports, files from previous doctors, mounds and mounds of log sheets. Cluttering up the attic and closet, all that paperwork just setting there, doing nothing but creating dust. Do I really still need these? Do they serve any useful purpose at this time? Absolutely not.
The last few weeks has been pleasantly spent...uncluttering. Other than important medical stuff, such as new diagnoses throughout the years, it's all gone. Burned to ashes in the burn barrel.
A new guideline I hope to follow, is that after one year, if I've no use for it, it will follow the same path to the burn barrel. As we get into our older years, it is time to relax, and enjoy life more. Get more things accomplished that haven't been yet. Try new things and cherish all of it.
What have you cleaned out lately?

"If you use insulin, you may need to start taking it in smaller doses, because damaged kidneys are less able to break down insulin."
