Increase time before automatic log out

One more--please lengthen the time  before one's "sign in" ends--currently it seems to expire in about an hour.  With some sites you stay logged in for a day or two, so that if you come on regularly you never waste time logging on.

This could either be the default or an option available to choose for each member.

Everyone is right to some degree here. To ensure a longer login, one needs to do the following: 1) selected the "remember me" checkbox when logging in and 2) make sure one's browser is not set to delete/clear cache, cookies, etc. too often. I, like others here, never have to log in, whether I'm gone overnight, for a day, or for a week.

I like the idea of a longer sign in time!

Some times I DO seem to stay logged on for days, while other times I still get logged out in what seems like an hour or half an hour.  I can't figure out why this is so erratic.

I've learned that you have to remember to check the box each time you log on.  I didn't think it worked so stopped checking it every time and got logged out more frequently.  So now I check it every time.

A lot of things in this system work unlike most other systems I've worked with.

I posted the following in another area and was asked to post it here as well.

Hello!

Just a quick question....

Every time I get on the message boards, I have to sign in.

Why then does it ask if I want to save my name and password,

because I always check that I do, but I still have to sign in each time.

Thanks for any reply!

The log in seems erratic for me, too, and others who commented when I posted before. I guess

a longer log in time would help.

Hi Annie,

This board doesn't work as the old board did.  There you never had to log in but on this one you do.  If you don't check the box though it logs you off if your not active for more than about a half hour.  If you do check it you can stay on for a much longer time, often all day, but still have to log in the next day.

Thanks, Lizzy!

Good to know.
