Re: Getting Started!

Thanks for all the work Matt, and also to the others behind the scenes. This transition and the results are a vast improvement on the past two occasions.

I've been wandering around using my netbook. It looks pretty good so far. I'll get a better idea later on the PC.

Do you want glitches here or on a new topic? Just one for now. We could do with a lot more prominence on the diabetes.org home page. The embedded link under Connect With Others works but the one under this section does not:: Message Boards

Thanks again.

Cheers, Alan, Type 2, d&e metformin 2000mg, Australia.

Alan,

If you are referring to the Messageboards link in the red ribbon at the very top of the page at diabetes.org it worked for me just now.  Perhaps it has been fixed already.

Yep. It looks like it was fixed while I slept your day away.

I still believe we need more prominence on that page.

Yes, I'm confirming that we updated those links in the late AM yesterday (and many others on d.org) to send people over without error.

I also think we could stand to have more prominence, but we do have TWO links at the top of the page. That's pretty good. Not to mention a left-rail link on ALL content pages and some right-rail and footer slider promotions. We're getting a good amount of traffic.

With the main page, we have quite a task as the Digital Content team to balance and meet the interests/needs of the many programs and initiatives here at the Association. I hope you and others can understand that it's tough to do!

May I suggest just one, for now, that may not be difficult or take up much space?

Consider adding "Web Forum" to the "In My Community" list:

Just a suggestion.

Re: Getting Started!

How do I get my own photo uploaded for my avatar? And, since I was on the old boards, why would I be a Vistor now?

Thanks.

I just posted the answer here: Uploading Images and Creating an Avatar.

And, since I was on the old boards, why would I be a Vistor now?

I'll leave that one for Matt :smileyhappy:
