Re: Getting Started!

You can check with ADAMateo, but...

If you click on your own name, and then My Settings, and then click on the Avatars tab, the next line down should give you three choices:

  • From the Community
  • From Uploaded Images
  • From the Web

That's the spot where you click on From Uploaded Images and select from your gallery.

In addition to logging in 4 times and posting at least 10 (rikalintz has achieved this), all new members must wait one week after registration before using a custom avatar, from the web or from their uploads.

I have programmed the system as such to minimize the potential for spam/unvetted posters to post inappropriate avatars and so that these members have additional incentive to return to the community.

Feel free to email me (community@diabetes.org) if you have questions about the community or the variety of programs and online resources available from our Association. Please note, however, as a matter of precaution that I do not have diabetes.

Re: Getting Started!

Matt thanks for clearing that up. So now we can tell any one who experiences the same thing as rikalintz did, we can also tell them that they have to be a member of the community for 1 week before they can use a custom avatar, after the image has been approved of course.
