Re: Barbs Baking Mix

Hello,

I have just started trying to control my carbs.  I would like to know if you could also send the nutritional information on the Cinnamon muffins, brownies, Maple muffins, cookies and quick breads.  Do you have recipes listed anyplacec else?  I am trying to gather an arsenal of go to recipes.  Thanks for all your help.

Re: Barbs Baking Mix

I changed Barbs's cinnamon muffins just a little. I put in just a little cimmamon and added tsp of cocoa and the added vanilla and then added jus one egg. It is really good for a quick cupcake fix.  Thanks Barb

Re: Barbs Baking Mix

Hi,

I just tried to make the brownies,,,,,maybe not in the microwave,,,,,and, some more margerine or butter, I doubled the recipe and put some brownie mix in lil muffin tins and cooked other half in microwave. Perhaps I didnt add enough fat! tastes good, just dry! My husband even ate it and he doesnt have Diabetes or eat sugar free, he said they are not bad,hmmmmm... I will try some of the others, the pancakes are AWESOME!!!!! I do love them. I think it will make a nice muffin w/ cin and apples. Still figuring this mix out, but it does taste good. love the low carb yummy taste!

Metformin, 500 2x a day

Pray and obey...very hard to do sometimes...but well worth it!
God Bless, Cathy

Re: Barbs Baking Mix

I am so excited to try this.  Saturday was always pancake day at my house.  The others still have pancake day, but I haven't eaten any since I was diagnosed in June.  I am going to wait until this sat. though because a brand new Trader Joes is opening in my town (we haven't had one previously) and I think I would like to steer clear of grinding up almonds on my own.  I've never liked syrup, just a little butter, so I'm excited.   :smileyvery-happy:

Without hope you cannot start the day.

Re: Barbs Baking Mix

Hi Barb ...

Re: your list of recipes for your baking mix ... are these all single servings?   I'm not much of a cook so wanted to be sure of what I was getting into.

Thanks!

Re: Barbs Baking Mix

I have finally assembled the ingerdients together for Barb's Baking Mix.....Any suggestions on what to store it in to keep it fresh and bug free?   My one large glass jar will not hold it all...and then I thought, "Ask the DM folks !!"  So, I am Asking a simple, maybe silly question.  I am all ears !
