Hi. I recently had slightly elevated A1c and fbg numbers at my routine gyno appointment. Not officially diagnosed yet, have an appointment with an endocrinologist next month. Since I got the lab results, I've been counting my carbs and checking my bg frequently around meals and exercise. I've been an avid runner for over 20 years. Today I went for a run after a low carb breakfast and a pre-activity bg of 99. This is the first time I've checked my bg around a run. I felt more fatigued than usual and had to keep my pace down quite a bit. My post activity bg was 122. Why was it elevated and what should I eat before running or should I eat at all?

It was elevated because your liver in (absence of food) did a glucose dump so you could out run the tiger chasing you.
yes eat befor you run.. how much ...? everybody is different start with 15 gr of carbs... test and adjust.
