Are you a diabetic?

Re: Glucocil

I was wondering about this one too.  I wonder if they corrected their violations with the FDA.

Re: Glucocil

I can't tell you anything about this specific product, but in many cases, the reason a product is in trouble with the FDA is that there is no basis, no scientific research, to back up the claims that the vendor is making. That makes it very unlikely that the product will ever do what they promise it does or that it will come up to FDA standards.

Re: Glucocil

I'm wondering what makes their claims any different than other over-the-counter supplements that carry the "This product has not been evaluated by the FDA and is not intended to cure and disease" message.

Re: Glucocil

The ones that the FDA goes after do state they are intended to cure or treat disease. That classifies them as a drug, so the sales fall under FDA regulation. Supplements that do not claim to cure or treat disease fall under different rules.

There's an interesting FAQ at the FDA site here: http://www.fda.gov/ForConsumers/ProtectYourself/HealthFraud/ucm359553.htm

I found it especially interesting that some of these products contain unlisted active ingredients that are prescription meds. Two of them contain glyburide. I'm allergic to sulpha drugs, so imagine how dangerous that might have been for me had I chosen to believe the claims and give one a try.

Re: Glucocil

Yep!! I believe Glucocil is the cure for type 2 's it apears to take care of all the problems a type 2 would have, and it is very cheap as low at $7 some places. Glucocil’s proprietary blend is Mulberry Leaf Extract. It also contains Alpha Lipoic Acid, Banana Leaf Extract, Chromium Picolinate, Cinnamon Bark Powder, Fish Oil, Gymnema Sylvestre Extract Insulina Leaf Extract, Veld Grape Stem Extract, Vitamins B1, B6, B12 and Vitamin D. Yep!!! a real jewel for type 2 's . It is the grape stems that does the job ......good-luck-001

Lizzy, I ain't falling for that one again.  Once was enough...lol.  But you do make a good point.

BTW, I so very glad to have you back.  You were sorely missed.  I hope you're feeling better and that you will have swift and complete recovery.

Sincerely,
