I live near Orlando, FL and am having trouble finding a decent doctor for my type 1 diabetes. I tried out a doctor and they were horrible, never helped and just plain rude. Now I'm nervous and picky as to finding a new one.
Any advice on how to find a good one?

If going to USF will help you meet up with a great Endo team, then I would do it. Hey it is only 4 times a year and I think the drive would
be worth it. That is, if it will benefit you. It is worth a try at least.
